Make your own Christmas clock

The material:

First, you'll need a 300-millimeter square frame and a can of red spray paint. You'll also need a 2-millimeter green felt pad and a flat brush, holiday-colored ink pads (red, green, gold, and white), red and white Canson paper, seasonal-themed stamps, a round hole punch, Velcro tape, and a glue gun. And don't forget a regular clock mechanism.

The manufacturing stages

1. Examine the frame to ensure the surface is free of dust and particles. Following the directions on the spray paint can, paint all sides of the frame using the flat brush. It is better to apply two thin coats of paint (letting it dry thoroughly between coats) than one thick coat; it may crack over time.

2. While the frame is drying, cut a 280 mm square from the piece of felt. Then cut a 5 mm diameter hole in the center of the fabric. In the colored Canson papers, perforate with the tool to obtain circles of approximately 40 mm in diameter. You will use the Christmas stamps and ink pads to print designs on these sheets and even on the frame to decorate it.

3. Cut small squares from the Velcro tape and then separate each square into two. The half with the mini-studs will be placed on the back of each circle printed with patterns. Then place the other half of the Velcro squares on the piece of felt in the frame. These will be used to indicate the numbers on the dial.

4. Attach the printed paper circles to these points by attaching the two pieces of Velcro. Make sure the piece of felt is securely installed in the frame. Then remove the mechanism hands from their pinion and attach it to the back of the dial.

5. Finally, put the needles back in place.

Note: For added whimsy, you can add mistletoe leaves or other decorations to the Christmas clock frame.
