Impress your guests with original napkins
To enhance an elegantly laid table, play with the possibilities offered by folding napkins, whether paper or fabric. Here are some easy-to-create designs for your festive receptions.
The poinsettia napkin
Ouverte un peu à la façon d’une étoile, ce modèle de serviette de table rappelle le poinsettia, fleur de Christmas par excellence.

The red and green fan
To make this model, you will need two napkins (one red and one green). Cut 1 cm from the outline of each one before starting the folding. Overlap the two napkins so that the larger one protrudes from the top. Open the napkins by placing them in front of you (edge parallel to the table line near you). Fold the overlapping napkins in half by folding the bottom over the top part to obtain a rectangle lengthwise. Turning the rectangle a quarter turn to the right, fold it accordion-style over 2/3 of its lengthwise surface. Proceed in the same way but fold the napkin in half by folding the bottom part towards the back. Then fold the first rectangle to the right, diagonally downwards. Hold the folds together with a thin gold ribbon.

The candle towel (easy)
Take a napkin and bring the bottom point up to create a triangular shape. Then fold the top point down. Fold the whole thing in thirds (downwards) to form a kind of ribbon. Then bring the left side up to a right angle. Roll the napkin up on itself, making a fairly tight roll. Tuck the right point into the base to create the shape.
