The most expensive Christmas bauble
Last year, Hallmark Jewelers produced a unique creation that is still very much in the news: an 18K white gold Christmas bauble set with 1,500 diamonds (including 3 one-carat diamonds) and surrounded by a circle containing 188 rubies. A true gem at the astronomical price of…91,000 euros!
It took a year to complete this magnificent creation and no fewer than 130 hours of work to encrust the various stones. Mark Hussen, its creator, wanted Hallmark Jewelers to be associated with Christmas as Fabergé is with Easter eggs.
The bauble in question is, of course, listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most expensive Christmas bauble in the world.
The Metasonic Arena by Gérard Genta
Gérald Genta's watches combine bold design with a total respect for traditional watchmaking. The latest creation from his workshop, the Arena Metasonic, is a true jewel of precision and features polished vertical surfaces and satin-finished horizontal surfaces, on an ostrich strap.
The watch is delivered in a glass security case, in which it is invisible until the owner presses the biometric button programmed for them. At this point, the interior lights up and the watch base lifts up to make it accessible.
