Letter to Santa Claus
Cher Père Christmas
Even though I'm as old as you are today,
I remember how much I dreamed of you every year.
Even though I often counted backwards
So that it's Christmas every day.
I know you're still so busy
In people's hearts you will always remain.
Your goal is to make children smile
You like to give them lots of gifts.
You bring them so much happiness
By putting lots of joy in their hearts.
But could you do a special this year?
Would you like to take care of our elders for a while?
Our elders, who are often bored
They would like to see their little ones that day.
Mais, je le sais bon Santa Claus
Everyone is busy, on Earth as in heaven.
They too would like to be happy
Like when they were two
In their family where there was plenty of love
It was a little bit like Christmas every day.
This Christmas party could be so beautiful
If our old people weren't so bored on Christmas Eve...
