Board games and activities for the holidays

There's nothing like a little liveliness and participation to liven up a party! In addition to karaoke and the many games available in stores, you can suggest fun activities for your guests that won't cost you a cent.

If your party only has adult guests and a few teenagers, here are two examples of board games that should please everyone.

The autograph game

Chaque invité reçoit un papier sur lequel est inscrit le nom d’une personnalité célèbre (une star, le pape, un politicien, par exemple). À tour de rôle, chacun des participants se présente en prononçant une seule phrase ou en faisant des gestes qui caractérisent la personnalité à reconnaître. La première personne qui l’identifie correctement lui demande son autographe. Et ainsi de suite…L’invité qui aura recueilli le plus d’autographes gagne le 1^er Price.

The Illusionist's Game

To organize this game, you need a magician...and his assistant (an accomplice). First, the audience must choose an object in the room, which the magician must guess. The magician, for the moment, waits in another room while his assistant pretends to participate with the guests. Once the object has been chosen, the magician then returns to the room. His assistant then begins to name, one at a time, the objects in that room. For example: Is it the wooden table? The magician answers "no." The assistant continues his trick but, at a certain point, he names an object that is black or white (this is the signal that tells the magician that the next object to be named will be the one the participants have selected). You will see how spectacular the audience's reaction is! You can repeat the game as many times as you like.
