Christmas Music: Please Come Home for Christmas
In 1978, The Eagles, a Californian band famous for their hit "Hotel California," recorded a version of "Please Come Home for Christmas," which also became very popular. However, it failed to match the success of the original version and had to settle for number 18 on the US Billboard charts. In the 1990s, The Eagles released another recording with new arrangements, which appeared on a single vinyl record.
Other artists who have lent their voices to this traditional Christmas song, entitled Please Come Home for Christmas, include well-known singers and bands, such as Willie Nelson, Aaron Neville, BB King, The Beatles, The Drifters, The Platters, Bon Jovi, and actor David Hasselhoff, who also had a singing career.

Words
Bells will be ringing this sad sad New Years
Oh what a Christmas to have the blues
My baby's gone I have no friends
To wish me greetings once again
Cries will be singing Silent Night
Christmas carols by candlelight
Please come home for Christmas
Please come home for Christmas
If not for Christmas by New Years night
Friends and relations send greetings
Sure as the stars shine above
But this is Christmas yes Christmas my dear
The time of year to be with the ones you love
So won't you tell me you'll never roam again
Christmas and new Years will find you home
There'll be no more sorrow no grievance and pain
And I'll be happy, happy once again
Oh there'll be no more sorrow, no grievance and pain
And I'll be happy, Christmas once again
