Ideas for creating the most beautiful gift wrapping
The gift bag
Craft stores sell fabric pouches and bags, both plain and patterned, to elegantly hold a gift. Tie the top of the bag with a ribbon, then attach a Christmas ornament and a small decorative card with the recipient's name on it.
An eco-friendly presentation
This natural packaging will surely please an eco-friendly person. Warm yet understated, it will intrigue the curious. You will make it from Kraft paper decorated with colorful raffia ribbon. Tie a first length of raffia under the gift to join the two ends on top of the box. With another length of raffia, repeat the operation so that the ribbons cross under the package. Glue the four ends together on top. At the junction, attach a raffia loop with a pine cone in the center.
Japanese-style packaging
The art of wrapping in Japan, which is called 'furoshiki', as traditional as it may be, has become a real trend in the West. It consists of placing a gift in a square of silky fabric (or a scarf) with the four corners folded in, much like an envelope. Sleek, simple, yet chic, this wrapping gives the recipient the impression of receiving a gift...within a gift.
