Make a DIY Advent Calendar with the Kids
Les enfants raffoleront de ce calendrier de l’Avent, facile à réaliser en famille et qui les occupera en attendant le soir de Christmas. Voici les directives pour fabriquer vous-même un charmant calendrier de l’Avent de façon artisanale :
As supplies, you will need a very thick cardboard of 49 x 80 cm, 2 large sheets of white bristol board, 24 small hooks, 24 ribbons of 10 cm each, 24 fabric pockets or bags of 7 x 10 cm each, a sheet of gold-colored felt, paint (gouache), a hole punch and a pair of scissors. To fill, 24 small gifts, treats, mini-toys, Kinder eggs, coins or other surprises.
Steps to create the calendar:
Paint the cardboard in the color of your choice (an operation that will be perfect for children)
Then attach the small hooks to the cardboard so as to create 4 lines with 6 fabric bags. You can help yourself by drawing a chalk line in advance to place a bag every 7 cm (across) and 20 cm (across).
Cut out 7 x 13 cm rectangles from thick white Bristol board paper, then cut one side of each to form a point in which you will pierce a hole.
Write a number (from 1 to 24) on each white card with a felt-tip pen. Fill the pockets and close them with a small ribbon.
Write a number from 1 to 24 on each label with the felt-tip pen.
Secure the ribbon with a knot behind the bag.
All you have to do is hang one bag per hook in numerical order.
Note: You can buy small, ready-made fabric bags from craft stores, and secure the edges with fabric glue.
