Christmas song: I'll Be Home for Christmas
Oeuvre commune de Kim Gannon, parolier, et de Walter Kent, compositeur, auxquels on pourrait y ajouter le nom de Buck Ram, ce dernier ayant écrit un poème portant le même titre et ayant revendiqué ses droits, I’ll Be Home for Christmas devint rapidement une song of Christmas très populaire. Pour écrire ce chant, les co-auteurs se sont inspirés du désir des soldats participant à la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, et souhaitant être de retour auprès de leur famille à Noël. Dès sa première diffusion, I’ll Be Home for Christmas connut un immense succès, à un tel point que la version de Bing Crosby, enregistrée en 1943, se hissa dans le Top 10 des chansons traditionnelles de Noël.

In December 1965, I'll Be Home for Christmas brought a smile to the faces of many NASA's Space Air Program communications staff. As astronauts Frank Borman and Jim Lovell were hurtling back to Earth after a 14-day flight in space, the communications staff asked them if they would like to hear a particular song to mark their return. The two astronauts' response was immediate, and they both replied: Bing Crosby's "I'll Be Home for Christmas."
