A Christmas record in the Guinness Book of Records

In his house in Boucherville (near Montreal), we find several hundred Santa Clauses, each one as joyful as the next. Not to mention mobiles, music boxes, figurines and toys of all kinds hanging from the ceiling, spread out on shelves or tables, and even on chairs, as well as tapestries and napkins protected in thick albums. They're everywhere!

Après avoir longtemps collectionné les timbres et les étiquettes de bouteilles de vin, Monsieur Laquerre ne pouvait s’imaginer le déclic qui allait se produire en lui lorsqu’une tante lui a légué, à sa mort, un Santa Claus en papier mâché du début du XXe siècle. C’est ce qui lui a donné l’inspiration de commencer une collection originale, en 1988.
With his reputation extending beyond Canadian borders, Mr. Laquerre receives items from admirers around the world, such as a superb reproduction of Santa's workshop, made entirely by hand and which took 600 hours of work by one of his friends in Morocco.
With his white mustache and cheerful expression, he gradually begins to resemble Santa Claus himself.
