Prince William and Kate Middleton's Christmas
Cette année, alors que la reine Elizabeth II célébrera soixante années de règne, celle-ci a l’intention de célébrer les Fêtes en grande envergure avec famille et amis. Aussi, le Prince William et son épouse Kate Middleton s’attendent-ils déjà à passer Christmas au sein de la copieuse assemblée qui est invitée à Norfolk pour les 24 et 25 décembre prochain.
The process
As is tradition, the many members of the guest list will arrive on Friday morning. Representing the immediate family, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla will be present, as well as Prince Harry, Princess Anne and her husband Tim Laurence, Peter and Autumn Phillips with little Savannah, Prince Andrew and his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, and finally Prince Edward and Sophie Countess of Wessex. Not to mention the many friends of the royal family. In short, a family Christmas, but "packed like sardines."
Comme à chaque année, le réveillon de Noël, qui aura lieu après l’ouverture des cadeaux (princiers…), consiste en un dîner aux chandelles où tout le monde apparaît sur son 31. Après 22 heures, pour perpétuer la coutume, les hommes passeront dans une autre pièce pour prolonger la soirée en dégustant un vieux Brandy servi par le prince Philip.
On the morning of December 25, everyone will gather at St. Mary Magdalene Church for Christmas Mass. At the following luncheon, guests will be served a roast and stuffed turkey at 1 p.m. Two hours later, everyone will gather around the television to watch the Queen's traditional address.
Luxury for a good cause
For the tidy sum of 10,000 British pounds (around 12,000 euros), those interested will be able to attend the premiere of Steven Spielberg's film "War Horse," alongside Prince William and his wife Kate. Mr. Spielberg will also be present for the occasion.
It's worth noting that tickets for the evening are on sale, and the proceeds will be donated to the Princes William and Harry Foundation. While this price may not be affordable for everyone, wealthy patrons have already received invitations to reserve their tickets now.
