Gift ideas made by children
Little love soaps
Purchase glycerin bars, such as those found in craft stores, and melt them one at a time in a double boiler. Then add food coloring of your choice to the melted product, plus two drops of a fragrant essential oil. Pour them into madeleine molds (two-thirds full) and let them cool before removing them from the mold. If desired, you can add some dried flower petals (rose petals, for example).
The Amber Apple
Take a large orange and a bowl of cloves. With the children, stud the entire surface of the fruit with cloves. To make it easier to add the spices, you can dot the orange with holes made with a fine knitting needle. Once the citrus fruit is completely covered in cloves, the juice will evaporate. Then, wrap colored raffia or ribbon around your creation and form a loop at the top to hang it in a room or on the tree. The air in the house will become fragrant.
A calendar for Grandma
At craft stores, you can buy a blank calendar to decorate yourself. With the children, you can personalize each page of the month, including birthdays and important dates. Photos and notes from children can also be added. Something to warm a grandmother's heart every day of the year.
Scented pouches for drawers
Sew or glue together three sides of two small squares of fabric that the children can decorate according to their imagination (buttons, stickers, sequins). Before closing the last side, fill the pouch with buckwheat seeds and dried mint leaves + 2 drops of lavender essential oil.
