Christmas Music: Little Saint Nick
Nevertheless, Little Saint Nick enjoyed some success, even reaching the Top 10 and Top 20 in a few US and Canadian cities. It must be acknowledged, however, that at that time, the Beach Boys' fame was at its peak, and this factor surely contributed to making this song a success. Especially since it borrowed both the rhythm and the melody of two other popular songs of the group, namely Little Deuce Coupe and Drive-In. Subsequently, Little Saint Nick peaked at 69th position in the weekly sales charts, according to an unofficial source, the number of copies sold to date could be more than a million.
Then, in 2005, as part of his solo album, entitled "What I Really Want for Christmas," Brian Wilson produced a new version of "Little Saint Nick." The old version, which everyone knows, was used in a Coca-Cola commercial, in which a family of polar bears joined a penguin feast.
Words
Oooooooo
Merry Christmas Saint Nick
Christmas comes this time every year
Oooooooo oooooooo
Well, way up north where the air gets cold
There's a tale about Christmas that you've all been told
And a real famous cat all dressed up in red
And he spends the whole year working out on his sled
It's the little Saint Nick
Ooooo, little Saint Nick
It's the little Saint Nick
Ooooo, little Saint Nick
Just a little bobsled we call it old Saint Nick
But she'll walk a slide with a four speed stick
She's candy-apple red with a ski for a wheel
And when Santa hits the gas, man, just watch her peel
It's the little Saint Nick
Ooooo, little Saint Nick
It's the little Saint Nick
Ooooo, little Saint Nick
Run run reindeer
Run run reindeer
Whoaa
Run run reindeer
Run run reindeer
He doesn't miss anyone
And haulin' through the snow at a frightenin' speed
With a half a dozen deer with Rudy to lead
He's gotta wear his goggles 'cause the snow really flies
And he's cruisin' every pad with a little surprise
It's the little Saint Nick
Ooooo, little Saint Nick
It's the little Saint Nick
Ooooo, little Saint Nick
Ahhhhhh
Oooooooo
Merry Christmas Saint Nick
Christmas comes this time every year
Ahhhhhh
Oooooooo
Merry Christmas Saint Nick
Christmas comes this time every year
Ahhhhhh
Oooooooo
Merry Christmas Saint Nick
Christmas comes this time every year
