Elle ne diff\u00e8re gu\u00e8re des autres chansons pacifistes pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment \u00e9crites par Lennon, si ce n\u2019est qu\u2019au niveau des paroles, lesquelles faisaient r\u00e9f\u00e9rence cette fois-ci \u00e0 la p\u00e9riode de No\u00ebl. Rappelons que le chanteur, depuis qu\u2019il faisait carri\u00e8re en solo, avait auparavant endisqu\u00e9 plusieurs chansons de ce genre, dont notamment Imagine et Give Peace a Chance. <\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, originalmente, &quot;Happy Xmas&quot; no se concibi\u00f3 como una canci\u00f3n, sino como un eslogan, creado en 1969 y utilizado como parte de una campa\u00f1a publicitaria. Con el deseo de hacer un llamado a la paz ante la guerra de Vietnam, que ya duraba unos diez a\u00f1os, John Lennon y su esposa, Yoko Ono, crearon este eslogan. Sin embargo, fue solo despu\u00e9s de cruzar las fronteras de varios pa\u00edses que esta campa\u00f1a publicitaria finalmente se convirti\u00f3 en canci\u00f3n. Tras acariciar durante mucho tiempo el sue\u00f1o de popularizar alg\u00fan d\u00eda una composici\u00f3n musical navide\u00f1a, John Lennon decidi\u00f3 en 1971 usar este eslogan para convertirlo en una canci\u00f3n, que grab\u00f3 con su esposa y los Coros de Harlem.<\/p>\n<p>Le succ\u00e8s ne fut toutefois pas imm\u00e9diat, et le single d\u2019abord endisqu\u00e9 aux \u00c9tats-Unis ne parvint m\u00eame pas \u00e0 se hisser au palmar\u00e8s. Lors d\u2019une seconde tentative en 1972, Happy Xmas fut lanc\u00e9 \u00e0 travers le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blognoel.com\/es\/gira-mundial-de-fiestas-navidenas\/\">monde<\/a>, et cette fois-ci, l\u2019objectif fut atteint. La chanson devint rapidement tr\u00e8s c\u00e9l\u00e8bre, plus particuli\u00e8rement au Royaume-Uni, o\u00f9 elle obtint une seconde place au palmar\u00e8s.
