In the heart of Germany, the world's leading seasonal leisure park is celebrating its 35th anniversary and its 10the<\/sup> winter season (from November 27, 2010 to January 9, 2011). As with every edition, shows, entertainment, magic and enchantment will be on the agenda. But there is something new.<\/p>\n

What's new<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

An Icelandic district opened its doors this year with the construction of the 55-meter-high "Bellevue" Ferris wheel, which has 42 gondolas. From a bird's eye view, there's a breathtaking view of the park's magnificent snowscape and the "Tomi Ungerer's Animal World" exhibition in the Mercedes-Benz Hall.<\/p>\n

Numerous attractions are planned, such as the "Euro-Mir" and the "Eurosat" figure-eight roller coaster for the more adventurous. For outdoor enthusiasts, a gigantic ice rink, a toboggan run, a ski slope (for children - with the possibility of learning to ski), snowmobiles and the "Glaciar" bar, with an indoor temperature of -18\u00b0C, have been specially installed for this occasion.<\/p>\n

D\u00e9di\u00e9s aux th\u00e8mes de l\u2019hiver et de Christmas<\/a>, le public peut d\u00e9couvrir de somptueux spectacles, d\u00e9ambuler \u00e0 travers les diff\u00e9rents quartiers du parc richement d\u00e9cor\u00e9s ou encore faire une halte au march\u00e9 de No\u00ebl de l\u2019All\u00e9e Allemande et d\u00e9guster un bon vin chaud et quelques saucisses grill\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

To dazzle children<\/strong><\/p>\n

Les plus jeunes seront \u00e9galement choy\u00e9s avec \u00ab Le monde des merveilles hivernales \u00bb\u00a0: un univers de jeux, de 2.500 m2, sur le th\u00e8me du cirque, dans lequel ils pourront aussi profiter de repr\u00e9sentations qui leurs sont sp\u00e9cialement consacr\u00e9es dont une premi\u00e8re : le spectacle multim\u00e9dia \u00ab Euromaus en Live chez le Santa Claus<\/a> \u00bb. Cette nouvelle technologie pr\u00e9sente la mascotte de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement en 3D et offre la possibilit\u00e9 aux enfants de s\u2019entretenir avec elle.<\/p>\n

For the first time, the Land of Fire and Ice is taking part in the winter opening and offering visitors an additional 30,000 m2 of entertainment within family attractions such as the "Whale Adventures-Splash Tours", the "L\u00edtill Island" playground and the "GAZPROM World" (the miracle of energy adorned with a thousand lights), which this year immerses in a Russian Christmas atmosphere. Numerous daily activities such as the storytelling of Russian Christmas tales, a drawing workshop, a photo booth with sending Christmas e-postcards and many other little Christmas surprises are planned inside. Outside the building, pony rides through the Icelandic Quarter delight the little ones.<\/p>\n

The "Circus Review"<\/strong> \u00bb<\/p>\n

Directed by Joseph Bouglione, this colorful show features several international artists. Presented under an authentic circus tent on the Place des Festivals, La Revue offers the public the essential and traditional acts of acrobatics, magic, dressage, and humor.<\/p>\n

The Night Enchantment<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every evening, two events create an event at nightfall: the \u201cLuna Magica\u201d show on the lake of the Universe of Adventure where lights, water games and special effects are on display, followed by the magnificent \u201cParade\u201d with a thousand light garlands!<\/p>\n

Opening dates and times for the winter season 2010\/2011:<\/p>\n

From November 27, 2010 to January 9, 2011 (except December 24 and 25, 2010).<\/p>\n

Adult rate: \u20ac29 \u2013 Child rate (4 to 11 years): \u20ac26.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvening Ticket\u201d rate (from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.): adults \u20ac16.50 \u2013 children (4 to 11 years old) \u20ac13.50<\/p>\n
