Une tradition qui s\u2019est largement fait conna\u00eetre au-del\u00e0 des terres britanniques, puisqu\u2019on la retrouve au Canada, en Australie, en Nouvelle-Z\u00e9lande, et en Afrique du Sud.<\/p>\n

A candy merchant, Thomas J. Smith, is said to have invented this original concept in 1847 to sell his sweets.<\/p>\n

Pour confectionner un cracker \u00e0 l\u2019anglaise, il vous faudra pr\u00e9voir du carton \u00e9pais, du scotch, du papier gift<\/a>, des cure-pipes, des rubans ainsi que des friandises ou mini-jeux \u00e0 placer \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de la papillote.<\/p>\n

Paper towel rolls cut in half make a great base for this project. If using heavy cardboard, cut a piece 12 cm high by 18 cm wide. Roll it up and tape the edge to create a roll.<\/p>\n

Next, fill the rolled-up cardboard box. All you have to do is cover it with two sheets of Christmas-themed wrapping paper and crumple the ends (see photo) to create a large parcel. Attach colorful ribbons to hold the crumpled parts together, and you're done.<\/p>\n
