Toutefois, puisqu\u2019il ne subsiste que tr\u00e8s peu de traces de ce chant pourtant si populaire, rien ne permet de situer l\u2019ann\u00e9e exacte o\u00f9 il fut compos\u00e9. Quant \u00e0 son auteur, il s\u2019agirait de l\u2019Abb\u00e9 Simon-Joseph Pellegrin, n\u00e9 en 1663, et d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 en 1745, ce qui laisse pr\u00e9sumer que Venez divin Messie aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crit fin des ann\u00e9es 1600, d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1700. <\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9anmoins, on peut affirmer avec certitude qu\u2019il \u00e9mane de la religion chr\u00e9tienne en raison des paroles qu\u2019il contient, celles-ci \u00e9voquant l\u2019attente du peuple isra\u00e9lien avant la naissance de l\u2019enfant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blognoel.com\/en\/characters\/jesus\/\">Jesus<\/a>. Qui plus est, les paroles figurant dans la version originale seraient issues de deux passages de l\u2019\u00c9vangile, l\u2019un selon Jean, et l\u2019autre des \u00c9ph\u00e9siens. <\/p>\n<p>Some claim that Come Divine Messiah originated in France, as the story goes, many refugees from the French Revolution were the originators of Christmas carols.
