Selon l\u2019histoire, il aurait d\u2019abord pris la forme d\u2019un manuscrit, r\u00e9dig\u00e9 en l\u2019honneur d\u2019une dame aux manches vertes, d\u00e9nomm\u00e9e Anne Boleyn. Son titre proviendrait donc de la fusion des mots \u00abGreen\u00bb et \u00abSleeves\u00bb, se traduisant respectivement dans la langue fran\u00e7aise par \u00abVert\u00bb et \u00abManches\u00bb. <\/p>\n<p>Again, since this is such an ancient song, very little information is known about it. However, it is believed to date back to the 16th century, and to have been composed by King Henry VIII.
