Celebrating Christmas in New York is a classic movie, with its giant illuminated tree at Rockefeller Center from the beginning of December. It's also the tallest in the world! A quick trip to the nearby ice rink is part of the tradition, as is a visit to the UNICEF store, topped with a gigantic snowflake, located on 5th Avenue. Christmas carols and songs can be heard throughout the main avenues of the Big Apple.<\/p>\n

Starting the evening of December 24th by attending a performance of The Nutcracker (by the New York City Ballet) at the famous Lincoln Center has become a New York tradition. Don't forget to visit the wonders of the Bryant Park Christmas Market during the day.<\/p>\n

Traditions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Everyone who came from elsewhere to settle in this great country brought their traditions with them. However, generally, the whole family participates in decorating the interior and exterior of the house. The illuminated tree, laden with Christmas-themed decorations, delights young and old alike.<\/p>\n
