In his house in Boucherville (near Montreal), we find several hundred Santa Clauses, each one as joyful as the next. Not to mention mobiles, music boxes, figurines and toys of all kinds hanging from the ceiling, spread out on shelves or tables, and even on chairs, as well as tapestries and napkins protected in thick albums. They're everywhere!<\/p>\n

Around him, in his home in Boucherville, near Montreal, hundreds of chubby Santas seem to smile back at him: figurines and toys hanging from wires in the ceiling, spread out on a sofa, arranged on shelves, occupying the table and chairs, adorning tapestries and napkins carefully protected in thick albums.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir longtemps collectionn\u00e9 les timbres et les \u00e9tiquettes de bouteilles de vin, Monsieur Laquerre ne pouvait s’imaginer le d\u00e9clic qui allait se produire en lui lorsqu’une tante lui a l\u00e9gu\u00e9, \u00e0 sa mort, un Santa Claus<\/a> en papier m\u00e2ch\u00e9 du d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle. C\u2019est ce qui lui a donn\u00e9 l\u2019inspiration de commencer une collection originale, en 1988.<\/p>\n

With his reputation extending beyond Canadian borders, Mr. Laquerre receives items from admirers around the world, such as a superb reproduction of Santa's workshop, made entirely by hand and which took 600 hours of work by one of his friends in Morocco.<\/p>\n
