Decorate the fireplace for more Christmas atmosphere

A mirror and its decorations

Hanging a large mirror above your fireplace will give it more perspective and maximize the overall look of the room. A few decorative pieces placed on top of the fireplace will add a magical touch as they are reflected in the mirror. If you don't have a large enough mirror, you can create a frame by sticking art stickers around it.

Question of style

For a Victorian-style Christmas decor, opt for candlesticks and red and gold accents. If white is the dominant color, add colored glass tealight holders to the mantelpiece. For a more traditional look, add a few fir or pine branches adorned with pine cones and white candles. Be careful, however, not to place the candles too close to other elements to avoid unfortunate accidents.

If you want to enhance the whole thing by adding decorations, little stars or other Christmas motifs, be careful not to overload it to maintain harmony.

All you have to do is attach some Christmas stockings to the edge, to make the little ones dream and bring back wonderful memories for the adults.
