Decoration: Dress your chairs for the festivities
Quelques mètres de tissu et un peu d’imagination suffisent pour donner à votre salle à manger une allure princière pour Christmas. Voici une méthode toute simple pour réaliser vous-même des housses d’un chic fou.
Slip-on covers
Take a piece of fabric measuring 1.20 x 2.40 m. Fold it in half to create a 1.20 x 1.20 m square. Then sew the three sides of the square, avoiding sewing the bottom. Simply slip the cover over each chair and then make an elegant bow with the ends sticking out at the back.
The choice of fabric
For festivities, don't hesitate to choose shimmering, iridescent fabrics, colored sheers, or even gold or silver. When in doubt, pure white is a no-brainer choice; for napkins and centerpieces, opt for vibrant colors.
The final touch
For a more whimsical look, you can add a Christmas decoration to the center of the bow: for example, two small pine cones held together by a thin ribbon, or a star or a decorative snowflake. Make sure this addition is delicate, otherwise it might ruin the overall harmony.
